Standing on the Word

By Rev. James Young

When I was a kid growing up in church, I used to hear the phrase "just stand on God's word". So I used to wonder what good would it do to put the bible on the floor and stand on top of it. Well of course when I got older I found out what they were talking about.
When we are standing on His word it means to get a particular scripture from the Bible that pertains to the  problem we are having at the time and confess what God says about the situation and not rehearse the problem over and over again.
Proverbs 18:21, says death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it will eat it's fruit. In other words whatever we talk about on a consistent basis will be what manifests in our life.
So be encouraged and get the word of God in your mouth and watch God change your circumstances and give you the victory!

  1. I definitely think we talk about our problems way more than we seek the answer in the Word and speak the truth over them. An exercise we need to cultivate diligently! Even if our situation doesn't change, the Word of God will change us!!
